Our Story

Coy Creative is based in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by the beautiful Sonoran Desert. While that serves as a huge inspiration to our creations, we are inspired by all things whimsical, punk, and strange. We believe that "little happies" are good for your mental health and our products are created with that in mind. Coy Creative jewelry is made to help you feel bolder, brighter, and more confident. Why “Coy”? It is Megan’s last name, but “coy” means artful hesitance, sly playfulness, pretended shyness. It’s a word that implies duality, attraction, and confidence. “Coy” is complex, but certain of itself. It’s girly, it’s whimsical, it’s formidable.

Megan began this journey as a statement earring enthusiast, always falling in love with quirky pairs and wearing them based on her mood. Frustrated with the quality of whimsical jewelry widely available, she was inspired to only use quality metal in her designs. All of our products are made with low maintenance jewelry wearers in mind, everything is stainless steel, gold-filled, or gold-plated. What started as a way for Megan to be home with her daughter and take care of her mental health has grown into the embodiment of her inner thoughts, sometimes weird and often whimsical. Her background in professional theater production offers a unique perspective on jewelry construction and how to tell a story with art.

Coy Creative is available online and at select shops and pop-up markets around the city of Tucson. With over 4,000 orders in the last 4 years, we are all over the United States and have many wonderful repeat customers.
